Bang Krachao
Bang Krachao is the only destination on this page that was actually done rather than assembled. It sits directly across the Chao Phraya from central Bangkok, so a Grab motorbike and one short ferry crossing reach it, no intercity train or van at all. A rented bicycle covers the peninsula's dedicated elevated bike paths in about two and a half hours, taking in a small fighting-fish gallery, a free botanical garden and a floating market that closes at 16:00. That closing time, together with the train night market across the river only running Thursday to Sunday, is why this exact day only works on a Saturday or Sunday.
