Wat Bang Nam Phueng Nok Port

Bang Nam Phueng, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan, Thailand

One of the small, informal river crossings that stitch Bang Krachao (Bangkok's green lung river bend) to the city, used by locals, cyclists and market-goers heading to the Bang Nam Phueng floating market and the Bang Krachao bike loop. The founder has personally crossed here and vouches for it as a real, currently operating pier, even though it has almost no web presence of its own.

We went, paid first hand

Posted fares observed on site: 7 THB per passenger, 16 THB if you bring a motorbike. Published articles give lower and conflicting figures (3 to 4 THB per passenger, 6 to 7 THB with a bicycle, 10 THB with a motorbike) but those appear to predate this reading, so the on-site figure is used and the older ones are kept in notes.
