Self-guided is the cheap way and it is what the founder actually did: bicycle rental 80 THB for the day. A guided full-day tour is separately listed at about THB 1,400 per person, so the previous price made the area look far more expensive than it is. Getting there from Bangkok: cross-river boat 7 THB per passenger, 16 THB if you bring a motorbike (posted fares observed on the day). A Grab bike to the pier cost 110 THB plus 20 THB paid at the boat, plus a discretionary 50 THB tip. A motorbike from the market to the pier cost 40 THB.

No minimum age or height requirement found for the peninsula itself. One booking-site private bike-tour product (Traveloka) states children under 6 are admitted free (must sit on a child seat) and children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, with kid's bikes available on-site.
