Wat Khanon keeps alive one of the last active Nang Yai troupes in the world. Giant figures carved from buffalo hide are danced against a lit screen to live Ramakien music, and the Saturday performance is carried on by local high-school students, so it sits far outside any standard Bangkok app itinerary.
