Most trip apps push the daytime tour-bus circuit at Damnoen Saduak, but Amphawa runs only Friday to Sunday from midday into the night and is where Thai families actually go. It is an evening and night market that gets busiest after dark, when longtail boats take visitors along the canal to watch fireflies, a rainy-season draw a morning market cannot offer.
